Burkhart Winery

The Burkhart winery is located above Weinfelden in the canton of Thurgau and is run as a family business with great passion and expertise. Approximately fourteen different grape varieties now grow on around eight hectares of vineyards, producing over twenty distinctive wines.

The history of the winery spans several generations and combines tradition with a spirit of innovation. A significant milestone was 2003, when the family began to press their own grapes, thus taking full responsibility for the entire journey of the wine, from the vine to the bottle.

In Harmony with Nature

A central tenet of the winery's philosophy is the pursuit of a healthy balance between soil, vines, people, and nature. Close-to-nature cultivation, soil care with compost, and innovative approaches in the vineyard contribute to promoting vital vines and high-quality grapes in the long term.

From this interplay of tradition, sustainable thinking, and modern winemaking artistry, wines are created that harmoniously unite origin, craftsmanship, and authentic enjoyment.

"We tasted numerous alcohol-free wines and thoroughly explored the various production methods. Sabine captivated us with her clear philosophy and conviction. We were particularly impressed by her fresh, unbiased ideas and her independence from traditional winemaker thinking."
