The Bachmann winery is situated on the sunny slopes of Stäfa, overlooking the shores of Lake Zurich. The terraced vineyards offer breathtaking views of the lake, which gives the region its unique climate. This special environment forms the basis for elegant, characterful wines.
Since 2018, Theres and Jonathan Bachmann have been running the winery in its sixth generation. Both consciously chose a career in winemaking and have since dedicated themselves to this task with passion. Together, they work with ambition and precision to continuously refine the quality of their wines.
The special origin
More than half of the ten hectares of vineyards are terraced, requiring a great deal of manual labor to create the best conditions for producing great wines from Lake Zurich. The family places particular importance on cultivating the grape varieties typical of the region, which are ideally suited to the unique climate. However, they also cultivate more demanding varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in their best locations.
Bachmann wines are crafted with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement in quality. The range extends from fresh classics to complex and profound wines, with each glass telling a story of its unique origin on Lake Zurich.
