Jürg Obrecht Wines

In Jenins, in the heart of the Bündner Herrschaft region, lies the Jürg Obrecht winery. This small wine-growing region in northern Graubünden is characterized by an alpine climate, impressive landscape, and calcareous slate soils. Here, thanks to the exceptional location of their vineyards, the family produces distinctive wines that reflect the unique charm of their origin.

Jürg Obrecht has been running the family business since 1997, carefully developing it together with his wife Ladina and now also their two sons. Experience, a passion for innovation, and a consistent commitment to quality allow the wines to preserve tradition while simultaneously boldly exploring new paths.

Pinot Noir in focus

Their work in the vineyards is characterized by a great deal of manual labor and an understanding of the soil's unique characteristics. Each vine is carefully tended, because the family knows that only by respecting the terroir can exceptional Graubünden wines of the highest quality be produced.

The focus is particularly on Pinot Noir, which accounts for over 80 percent of the vineyard area. However, white grape varieties such as Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Riesling-Silvaner also thrive on the mineral-rich slate soils, producing fresh, fruity, and distinctive wines that reflect the alpine terroir.

“We wanted to create an alcohol-free wine that reflects our passion for Swiss (Grisons) wine – 100% Swiss, uncompromising in quality. Amesco was much more than a service provider for us: they supported us with great dedication from the initial idea to the marketing channels. This collaboration was invaluable to us.”
